PSYCHIATRIST, AGAPE NETWORK DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida is currently seeking an open rank faculty position, for a full-time, non-tenure appointment within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health (DOPBH). This position will provide direct evaluation of children, adolescents and adults at the AGAPE location. The selected individual must be familiar with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). In addition, the qualified candidate will manage the psychopharmacologic needs of patients adhering to evidence- based treatment, complete forensic and substance use disorder evaluations, and participate in care management activities. Telepsychiatry services may also be utilized for clinical services. The position will also consist of medical and administrative leadership, research and educational duties including training medical students and other learners through didactic sessions, small group activities, and/or directly observing and evaluating their activities in the clinical setting.
Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree such as an MD or DO (with training in allopathic psychiatry residency). Must be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or obtain board certification within one year of employment. The candidate must have a valid and unrestricted Florida medical license, or be able to obtain a medical license in the state of Florida prior to employment.
