The Crittenton Medical Director is the senior medical administrative position in the organization, providing medical leadership as well as providing psychiatric care for Crittenton patients.
The Medical Director provides guidance, leadership and oversight for the delivery of medical care and clinical services, consistent with highest quality practice standards and regulatory/contractual requirements.
S/he shares in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services and collaborates with the management team in overall planning and budget activities. This includes oversight of the activities of physicians and APRNs practicing at Crittenton, including recruiting and credentialing processes.
The Medical Director is also a psychiatric practitioner who remains abreast of the most current relevant medical research and practice methods by actively providing care for Crittenton children and families. Research programs related to patient needs may be conducted within IRB and contractual standards. S/he also represents the organization in individual and group presentations with key publics engaged at Crittenton as referrers, governmental partners, payers, etc.
The position reports to the President and routinely relates to the Board of Trustees as requested by administration and/or the Trustees. The candidate would also collaborate with the President of the Medical Staff to assure organizational integration and participation in SLH/SLHS medical staff functions.
