The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking applications from psychiatrists and other addiction treatment specialists for a full-time faculty position with emphasis on treatment of addictions and translational treatment research. The Addiction Treatment Services and the Center for Addiction and Pregnancy, are nationally recognized award-winning centers of excellence and translational research. Primary responsibilities include clinical work in these programs, participating in the research of faculty colleagues, initiating new research, and teaching/mentoring of junior faculty, fellows, residents, or clinical staff. The successful candidate will be expected to build productive clinical and research collaborations with other faculty and researchers at Johns Hopkins, including in the world-renowned Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit (BPRU). Excellent clinical and treatment-research space and resources are available.
Candidates must be committed to clinical and academic scholarship in the addictions, with excellent patient care and teaching skills. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board eligible in psychiatry, have 2+ years’ experience treating substance use disorders, and ideally have peer-reviewed publications in the field. The position will be filled at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending upon experience.
