Position Summary: The Nursing Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care provided for the Behavioral Health program. This individual develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, and consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed. The Nursing Director also participates in the recruitment and community education process.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Psychiatry or Mental Health Preferred
Current FL Nursing license required
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
3-5 years of nursing experience required
2-5 years of management experience preferred, especially in an acute care or psychiatric facility
