Exciting opportunity for an academically-inclined child psychiatrist to join a growing, nationally-recognized treatment, training and research program for children with autism and developmental disorders. This dynamic position will help build our continuum of outpatient services and work in our outpatient clinic as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. The position joins a group of 3 other child psychiatrists focused on the population, will report to Matthew Siegel, M.D., Vice President for Medical Affairs, Developmental Disorders Service, and have opportunities to participate in teaching, training residents and fellows, and research.
Maine Behavioral Healthcare and Spring Harbor Hospital are leaders in the intensive treatment of youth with autism and developmental disorders, offering a continuum of specialized services. Spring Harbor and Maine Medical Center Research Institute serve as the coordinating site for the Autism and Developmental Disorders Inpatient Research Collaborative, and our faculty are actively involved in advocacy, national committee work and publishing in the area of developmental disorders.
Experience with the population is required. Competitive salary and strong benefits package including 1 week of paid CME time, and $3,000 CME annual allowance. Weekend day-time on-call frequency is 4-5 times a year. Candidates will receive a faculty appointment at Tufts School of Medicine at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. MD/DO and BE/BC in child psychiatry required.
