Columbia University's Department of Psychiatry invites applications fora psychiatrist with certification in Child and Adult Psychiatry who has expertise in the conduct of clinical research including academic publications, evaluation and enrollment of patients into studies, and writing of grants and IRB protocols. This individual should have participated in biorepository building for -Omics research as well as in studies that seek to clarify the infectious and immunologic causes of neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly as it relates to serious psychiatric disorders in children and young adults such as psychosis. As this position will involve evaluation of adults and children who have a history of Lyme disease and who present with complex multi-system symptoms as well research on patients with possible PANS/PANDAS, candidates with this background will be most suitable for this position. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who has completed a child psychiatry and research fellowship and seeks to continue his/her clinical and academic work in precision medicine as it relates to young adults and children with serious neuropsychiatric disorders.
