SBH was recently selected by Mercy Care Plan and MMIC as one of two Autism Spectrum Disorder Centers of Excellence. The Southwest Autism Center of Excellence (SACE) is a partnership between SB&H, Southwest Human Development, U of A College of Medicine, Midwestern University, Mountain Park Health Center and Sunshine Pediatrics; and will serve in a specialized whole-health capacity to focus on the physical and behavioral health of children, families and adults living with or at risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These services will begin in the summer of 2017.

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to be apart of the Autism Center of Excellence program. This position offers a flexible schedule (Monday - Friday)! Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, this position has primary responsibility for the medical and psychiatric functions in an outpatient clinical setting. This includes engagement, assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, patient education, risk assessment, and discharge planning. Provides general psychiatric services and is responsible for ensuring that the psychiatric services are in compliance with licensing requirements and as defined in the ADBHS Covered Services Guide. Maintains expected level of productivity goals. Maintains appropriate medical chart management and documentation with particular emphasis on PCP coordination of care, laboratory, and vitals compliance standards. Collaborate with Program Director in delivering program specific services. Provide opportunities for clinical case staffings to OP site staff as needed. Is directly responsible to and supervised by the Chief Medical Officer and/or Medical Director for all clinical issues and to the Program Director for all administrative issues.
