PEDIATRIC CONSULT-LIASION PSYCHIATRIST POSITION AVAILABLE
The Department of Psychiatry at UMass Memorial Medical Center (UMMMC) is seeking a full-time, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service . UMMMC isthe academic teaching hospital and clinical partner of The University of Massachusetts Medical School. The primary duties for the Psychiatrist will involve consultation and liaison to our pediatric ward at the Children’s Medical Center and emergency mental health department on the University campus and support of the academic mission of the Department and the Medical Center, including educational responsibilities and the opportunity to participate in research. This position provides the opportunity for involvement in a full range of clinical and academic pursuits, including serving as a member of our core attending faculty for our child psychiatry fellows, residents and medical students. A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available. Candidates are expected to be Board eligible/Board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

We integrate our clinical, research, teaching and community partnership activities to help individuals and families transform their lives through recovery from mental illness and addiction. We are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts with over 350 faculty and 10 hospitals and community mental health centers.
Our residency program trains 7 residents per year including general psychiatry and specialty tracks for combined adult and child psychiatry and combined neurology and psychiatry. We offer fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, and Adult Developmental Disabilities.
Centrally located, Worcester is a short hop from Boston, Providence, and Cape Cod and within easy reach of the scenic Berkshire Mountains.
