BSWH has an immediate opening for a Clinical Health Psychologist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas. This position would involve joining a dynamic group practice of psychologists and postdoctoral fellows providing inpatient consultation and outpatient services for patients admitted to Baylor University Medical Center as well as those with relevant needs in the surrounding community.
The primary role of this position is to provide psychological evaluation and intervention for individuals requiring liver transplantation as well as for patients seen for treatment in the Liver Disease Program. As one of the largest multi-specialty transplant centers in the U.S., Baylor Scott & White has performed more than 4,500 liver transplants. Our liver transplant program is internationally recognized as a pioneering program in liver transplants and anti-rejection treatment, as well as hepatitis B and C research. In addition, our living donor liver transplant program is the first adult liver transplant program in Texas and today is the third largest living donor liver programs in Texas by volume. In addition to working closely with the liver transplant team, the psychologist hired for this position would have the opportunity to work with other solid organ transplant patients and patients referred from the oncology service.
The ideal candidate for this position would be a psychologist with experience with medical populations, specifically patients with co-occurring substance use disorder and medical comorbidity. Strong assessment skills are critical to this position as well as ability to provide intervention services for patients and families. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams is an essential component.

PhD or PsyD from a Doctoral program accredited by the American Psychological Association or the Candian Psychological Association
Completion of a Pre-doctoral internship accredited by the American Psychological Association or Canadian Psychological Association
Licensed or licensed eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Texas- Required
Board certification with the American Board of Professional Psychology highly desired
