The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at McLean Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, is seeking a full-time child and adolescent psychiatrist or psychologist clinician/scientist to join our faculty.
The successful candidate will have emerging expertise in anxiety, mood, or behavioral problems in children and adolescents, with a growing publication and funding record. We are particularly interested in clinician/scientists who want to increase collaboration between research and clinical programs, and who use the following techniques: novel treatment development (including therapy, pharmacology, or neurostimulation), brain/behavior mechanisms, digital phenotyping/wearables, or leveraging big data/electronic medical records.
Candidates should be eligible for a clinical license in Massachusetts. Physician candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. Psychologist candidates should have completed a PhD/PsyD in psychology from an APA accredited doctoral program and internship, and have demonstrated experience working with children/adolescents. Post-doctoral experience in child/adolescent research is considered a strength but is not required.
Mclean values diversity among its faculty and staff, is committed to building a culturally diverse intellectual community, and strongly encourages applications from diverse candidates, including those often under-represented in science and medicine.
Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment at the academic rank up to Assistant Professor will be commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, meeting the minimum teaching requirement, and candidate qualifications.
To ensure the candidate’s success, resources including start up funds to augment current funding and mentorship will be provided.
