The Alexandria, LA VA Medical Center is searching for a BE/BC General/Adult Psychiatrist to join their dynamic healthcare team as an Outpatient Psychiatrist. Position is located at their Lafayette, LA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Major duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Interpret and evaluate clinical data for the purpose determining diagnosis and clinical status. Respond to mental health consults request when necessary. Prescribe medications according to outpatient formulary, including substance use treatment using Suboxone. Waiver to be obtained within 6 months of employment if candidate has not already completed. Formulate assessment and plan acco
