The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers several outstanding faculty attending positions in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry including Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and General, Emergency/Urgent Care or School Health Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Attending at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore: This role involves patient care, teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, pediatrics residents, pediatric neurology residents, and medical students. The Children's Hospital at Montefiore is a 183 bed facility that provides highly specialized and expert care for children and young adults of the Bronx and surrounding areas including Westchester County. The consult/liaison service provides consultations for patients with somatic symptom disorders, neuropsychiatric conditions, chronic illness, eating disorders, cancer and blood disorders, and patients with complex medical conditions. This position is particularly well suited to early career psychiatrists with a strong interest in consult/liaison work with children and adolescents. Opportunities for creating innovative programs collaboratively with our colleagues in the Department of Pediatrics, as well as future leadership opportunities, will be available.
Psychiatry attending in the Rose F. Kennedy Center for Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation (CERC): The attending will provide psychiatric evaluation and care to individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism and consultation to a multidisciplinary team including pediatricians and psychologists. CERC is also connected to the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC), one of the oldest clinical and translational research programs at Einstein, and part of the national network of Eunice Shrive Kennedy IDDRCs. The position is particularly well suited to early to mid-career psychiatrists with a strong interest in advancing care for people with developmental disorders within a multidisciplinary team framework.
Opportunities also exist for ambulatory, urgent care and emergency, and school health Child and Adolescent Psychiatry positions across our campuses.
Candidates will be considered for dual faculty appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics.
