The Department of Psychiatry/Behavioral Health and Swank Center for Memory Care and Geriatrics at ChristianaCare has a 50/50 split position for a Geriatric Psychiatrist (both practices primarily located at Wilmington Hospital).

At the Swank Center for Memory Care and Geriatrics, Delaware's first and most comprehensive outpatient clinic serving adults with mild to severe neurocognitive disorders, this role includes collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team, supervised under a geriatric psychiatrist and director of the clinic, providing neuropsychiatric assessment of new patients, psychiatric consultation on established patients with combined neurocognitive and behavioral symptoms, and limited follow up of complex patients who require ongoing care and titration of pharmacotherapy. This role includes precepting of psychiatric residents and participation in research and writing projects, as an optional benefit.

Under the Department of Psychiatry/Behavioral Health, this position will provide clinical services and teaching in geriatric psychiatry in our Wilmington outpatient practice (primarily) both virtually and in-person. This role will act as a member of the dept. of psychiatry faculty team and will supervise the clinical performance of psychiatry residents and participate in other residency related activities.

This position is integral both clinically and academically in geriatric psychiatry across two collaborative areas located just a few floors from one another.
