Hospice Physician- Staten Island University Hospital

Northwell Health’s University Hospice, a Joint Commission accredited not-for-profit healthcare organization, seeks an enthusiastic physician to join a well-respected Hospice program in Staten Island, NY. We are open to BC/BE Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Palliative, and Geriatric Physicians. Practice comprehensive end-of-life care, in a high quality and professional environment. Our integrated electronic clinical records system assures superior access to clinical information across the continuum of care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Medical oversight of an eight-bed hospice residence
• Direct and indirect patient care each day
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Management and collaboration with hospice interdisciplinary teams
• Conduct home and face to face visits
• Weeknight and weekend coverage on an on-call schedule.

Staten Island University Hospital has grown to become a 714-bed tertiary teaching hospital that spans two campuses, providing a vast array of services in health and wellness.
