City of Hope Medical Group is Seeking a Psychiatrist to Join the Main Campus
The Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a trained psychiatrist to meet the needs of our growing program on our main medical campus in Southern, CA.
Who We Are:
This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 400+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in highly desirable Southern California, within our established Department of Supportive Care. This is a unique opportunity to practice psych-oncology at an institution that is on the frontlines of both cancer research and treatment. This iconic medical center is an expanding institution in both numbers of patients per year as well as infrastructure investment in clinical, academic and research facilities. Position Highlights:
Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our team of world class, nationally recognized team of medical, psychiatric, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clincial psychiatrist reporting to the Division Chief of Psychiatry.
Cover only one location at which includes state-of-the-art facilities
Designated inpatient consultation and outpatient scheduling
Position will be a combination of inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic service
Generous 60 minute for new patient appointments and 30-45 minute follow up appointment blocks
Flexible schedule: 8am-5pm
90% of patient panel are cancer patients. Experience with oncology patients preferred but not required
Physician will practice at the main flagship medical campus
Division currently includes 2 FTE psychiatrists

Salary Range - $250k - $300k The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications:
Academic record consistent with appointment at early Assistant or early to mid-career Associate Professor level at an ACGME accredited program is a plusbut not required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry required
Additional training in geriatric or consultation-liaison psychiatry is a plus
Experience with cancer patients, preferred but not required
The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
