University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Inpatient Psychiatry practice at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
The Inpatient Psychiatry team at UMMC is comprised of world-renowned experts skilled at managing and treating individuals with mental health needs. This is a collaborative practice with a team of clinical psychiatrists and psychiatry faculty of the University of Minnesota. In this role, you can elect to teach medical students and residents as adjunct faculty in the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Psychiatry.
In This Role, You Will:
- Care for patients in the general adult inpatient unit, in addition to providing consultation in the emergency department.
- Join a team of 9 Psychiatrists and 3 PMHNPs.
- Average daily census is 12 beds.
- Enjoy practicing in an excellent team environment and receive great ancillary and administrative support.
Schedule:
- Part time 0.9 FTE
- Day time shift
- Weekend call: 10-11 weekends/year.
- No weeknight call between 10pm and 8am.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Psychiatry residency training program.
- Board eligible/certified with the ABPN.
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
