Providence Medical Group is seeking a Psychiatrist with substance use experience to join its new Crisis Stabilization Center opening in early 2024 in Anchorage, Alaska. This new facility will provide additional services to adult patients who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use problems by utilizing two distinct programs. The first is an outpatient program providing immediate intervention in a trauma informed setting. This program is designed to divert people from hospital emergency departments to avoid unnecessary high levels of care and offers 23-hour crisis stabilization. The second program is for patients who are unable to stabilize within this 23-hour time frame and offers up to 7-days of inpatient care. As a Psychiatrist for the center, you will not only have the opportunity to be on the forefront of a brand-new behavioral health initiative, but your work will have a lasting impact on the overall health and well-being of this entire community.
