The Walla Walla VA Medical Center is looking to hire highly motivated Psychiatrist to join our Dynamic team. The staff physician (psychiatry) is assigned to Mental Health Service, providing comprehensive, efficient, compassionate, high-quality healthcare to all patients, functioning as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to the patients. Staff Psychiatrist responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation and treatment in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Major duties include but may not be limited to:
Individual psychotherapy services.
Group psychotherapy services.
Medication assessment and management.
Consultation to other medical and nursing providers on psychiatric issues.
Behavioral interventions.
Facilitation of referrals to Behavioral Health Service programs for patients in need of specialized services.
Work Schedule: 8:00-4:30 with an option for a compressed schedule
Benefits and Features
Expected Salary range for well qualified Psychiatrist will range from $275,000.00 to $336,000.00, with consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials, and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Selected candidate may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment.
