Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. As an Outpatient Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist for the Department of Psychiatry, you will provide clinical support and oversee the Outpatient Behavioral Medicine (BMed) services, including our Geriatric Population.
Responsibilities
As the leader of the Outpatient Behavioral Medicine (BMed) services, the ideal candidate will oversee and provide patient care for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs referred from the inpatient Consultation Liaison (CL) Service and medical providers across AHS. Working closely with the inpatient CL team and primary medical providers, the candidate will ensure smooth transitions across the care continuum. The ideal candidate will also oversee and provide patient care for elderly patients with psychiatric needs referred from the inpatient psychiatric unit, the Psychiatric Emergency Services, the inpatient Consultation Liaison Service, and from AHS and community Geriatric and medical providers.
The candidate will also serve as a role model for clinical excellence and lead weekly treatment team meetings for BMed. Additionally, the candidate will provide clinical mentorship to staff physicians and Advanced Practice Nurses in the outpatient BMed program and collaborate with key quality and safety leaders to ensure high-quality psychiatric care. The candidate will assist with cross coverage, as needed, for the Adult Intensive Outpatient Program/Adult Partial Hospitalization Program and the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services. Finally, the candidate will assume all responsibilities as a member of the Department of Psychiatry, including cross-coverage at the main campus as needed and participation in on-call and per-diem coverage, as assigned by the Department Chair.

Qualifications
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry preferred, not required
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with developments in the field of psychiatry
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor trainees (e.g., Advanced Practice Providers, residents, and medical students)
- Familiarity with federal and state standards for psychiatric care
- Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
