The James A Haley Veterans Hospital located in Tampa, Florida is accepting applications for two of their Outpatient Clinics. Each position requires a full-time board eligible or board certified Psychiatrist who will be part of a team delivering quality care in the Mental Health Service at James A Haley VAMC.  The Psychiatrist provides the full spectrum of services (see below for responsibilities of each location). Candidates will have the opportunity for an Academic appointment available through the University of South Florida Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences.

Preferred Experience:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Training and experience in substance abuse treatment is preferred but not required

New Port Richey Outpatient Psychiatrist: Primary responsibilities will include consultation, assessment, and medication management. This is a generalist position which requires a breadth of experience assessing and treating the full gamut of mental health disorders. Training and experience in substance abuse treatment is preferred but not required. Applicant much be Board Certified/Board Eligible.  Caseload will include a significant percentage of veterans with PTSD.

South Hillsborough (Riverview) Outpatient Psychiatrist: Primary responsibilities will include consultation, assessment, and medication management. This is a generalist position which requires a breadth of experience assessing and treating the full gamut of mental health disorders. Applicant much be Board Certified/Board Eligible.  Caseload will include a significant percentage of veterans with PTSD.

Lecanto Outpatient Psychiatrist: Primary responsibilities will include consultation, assessment, and medication management. This is a generalist position which requires a breadth of experience assessing and treating the full gamut of mental health disorders. Applicant much be Board Certified/Board Eligible.  Caseload will include a significant percentage of veterans with PTSD.
