Bariatric Psychologist – Jacksonville, FL - Hybrid Telehealth

Northeast Florida’s leader in comprehensive behavioral healthcare seeks a Bariatric Clinical Health Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary bariatrics care team.

Your Day to Day:

• Provide individual therapy directly to bariatric patients.
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary bariatrics care team.
• Manage complex behavioral needs for patients with chronic medical conditions. 
• Have a direct impact on patient care as patients work towards improved health.
• Provide psychological assessment, testing and therapy for adult patients both pre- and post-surgery.
• Assess patient readiness and appropriateness for surgery, and complete reports as required.
• Psychological assessment and individual therapy for adolescents with anorexia or bulimia.
• Document patient encounters.

What You Bring:

• Experience assessing and treating adults with obesity and the emotional, behavioral and psychological variables associated with bariatric surgery.
• Experience assessing and treating adolescents with anorexia, bulimia, and co-morbid psychological disorders.
• Bariatric and Weight Management specialization.
• Licensed clinical psychologist.
• Ability to obtain an active unrestricted Florida license.
• Eligible for major insurance panel credentials.
• Doctorate - PhD or PsyD.
