Cleveland Clinic, a world-renowned healthcare institution, is seeking a distinguished and visionary physician or psychologist to assume the role of Department Chair of its newly consolidated Department of Pediatric Behavioral Health and Neuroscience within the Children’s Institute. The Department of Pediatric Behavioral Health and Neurosciences is one of six departments within the Children’s Institute, joining the Pediatric Departments of Heart, Vascular, & Thoracic; Medical Specialty; Primary Care; Integrated Surgical Care; and Integrated Hospital Care. These departments reflect the ongoing rapid growth of the Children’s Institute’s activities at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus and across its regional health system.
As the Department Chair, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing clinical and research programs, and driving innovation in the field. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts, you will guide the development of cutting-edge initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and generating support for pioneering research in pediatric neurobehavioral health across Cleveland Clinic’s footprint in the Northeastern Ohio region. Current department members include 35 pediatric Psychiatry and Psychology faculty with primary or joint appointments, and faculty dedicated to Autism Education, Children’s Rehabilitation, and Chronic Pain Rehabilitation. The Department of Pediatric Behavioral Health and Neurosciences is closely linked to the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute, which includes additional faculty in Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Epilepsy.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic direction and leadership in advancing pediatric behavioral health and neuroscience services
Lead and provide advocacy to a team of professionals from different disciplines, fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence
Develop and implement innovative programs and clinical initiatives to enhance patient care
Cultivate an environment of support for research teams to drive forward groundbreaking research and clinical trials
Support academic and educational activities
Establish partnerships with key stakeholders and contribute to the growth of the department's influence and reputation.

Qualified candidates will possess:
Medical degree (MD or DO) or PhD from an accredited institution and Board certification in a related specialty
At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role at a major Children’s Hospital, with knowledge of and expertise in pediatric behavioral health and related disciplines
Demonstrated track record of excellence in supporting the professional development of others
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong emotional intelligence and compassion
A passion for working with community leaders and across a health system to advance the systems of care for pediatric behavioral health
