Psychiatrist- Mental Health Inpatient/Consultation Liaison) Opportunity in Jackson, MS
G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist- Mental Health Inpatient/Consultation Liaison) to join our team in Jackson, MS. The Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, treat patients with problems of personality, emotional adjustment, or mental illness. The psychiatrist will prescribe medications as deemed necessary for the treatment of mental illnesses and recommend appropriate therapy based on precedent and standards of the profession. Psychiatrist will also oversee the treatment performed by medical students and psychiatry residents; and instructs them in the typical patterns of progression of mental illnesses during treatment. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm   Qualifications:
