CHI Health & Children’s Nebraska are searching for a Medical Director to join the team.
As the Medical Director for Children’s Nebraska Acute Behavioral Health Services, you will work in partnership with senior leadership as we prepare for the grand opening of our Behavioral Health and Wellness Center in 2026. This collaboration between CHI Health, Creighton University and Children's Hospital, brings together a team that is dedicated to top notch behavioral health care.
The facility will consist of a behavioral health crisis assessment center, inpatient mental health and partial hospitalization services, an eating disorders partial hospitalization program, outpatient behavioral health clinic, and a primary care clinic with behavioral health integration. A Brief Overview of the role -
The Medical Director of the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Service will provide:
Visionary leadership and clinical expertise, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Blend the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health to develop and implement innovative treatment strategies.
Accountable to provide supervisory and administrative tasks, provide and role model interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsible for our acute behavioral health services including the crisis assessment center, the inpatient units and the mental health partial hospitalization program.
Responsible for standardizing and delivering high quality of clinical care and outcomes and supporting the development of the strategic plan.
Works collaboratively with other behavioral health and hospital leaders, including physician and nursing leaders to create a cohesive, quality driven behavioral health service line.
