The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Island Health are seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to provide Child and Adolescent services in the community of Duncan. The successful candidate will provide support to the Y Star child and youth crisis team and Discovery substance use services in Cowichan. The patient population consists of mostly teenagers and all are affected by substance use and have concurrent mental health issues. The physician will liaise with the clinical team to triage patients, provide indirect support to the team, arrange for direct consultation and provide a management plan.
