Full Time Opportunities at Brooklyn Park Inpatient Hospital for Children, Adolescents & Young Adults.
Opening for 1 Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and 1 Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Leads the interdisciplinary team supporting PrairieCare treatment programs and philosophy
Assures the delivery of quality treatment to adults, adolescents, children, psychiatric, and substance use disorder patients, and their families consistent with Medical Staff privileges granted
Services may be in delivered in the hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient or residential programs
Be familiar with follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children
Conducting individual and family therapy
Requirements:
Licensed by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine. Must have successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency.
DEA required.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and/or Adult Psychiatry.
Ability to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance.
Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook.
Ability to access and use intranet site as necessary.
Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations.
Ability to make effective decisions within stressful situations and circumstances.
After training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients.
