Under the general direction of the Chief Psychiatrist, Correctional Facility (Safety) of Integrated Gender Affirming Healthcare Program (IGAHP), in the Statewide Mental Health Program (SMHP), the Senior Psychiatrist, Correctional Facility (Specialist) serves as a statewide subject matter (SME) expert in gender-affirming mental health (MH) care who will have psychiatric clinical responsibilities, contribute to quality management, participate in the education of other staff members, and serve as a cross-discipline liaison and collaborator to assist institutions in delivering optimized gender-affirming health care within IGAHP.
