The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine invites applications for board-certified/board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to lead a new Pediatric Partial Hospital Program (PHP).
Position Highlights:
Lead the new Duke Pediatric Partial Hospital Program (PHP) in collaboration with:
Division of Child and Family Mental Health and Community Psychiatry
Duke Children?s Hospital
Oversee a 16-bed PHP serving:
Children ages 6-11
Adolescents ages 12+
Provide direct clinical care, program development and oversight
Teach and mentor medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows
Hold a faculty appointment with rank commensurate with experience
Preferred Experience:
Background in pediatric hospital settings or PHP settings
Leadership experience, ideally as a pediatric psychiatry consult-liaison physician
Primary Activities:
Deliver individual- and team-based clinical care at the Duke Pediatric PHP
Conduct medical and interdisciplinary evaluations and interventions
Lead a multidisciplinary team, including:
Child and adolescent psychiatrists
Pediatric psychologists
Social workers
Nurses
Trainees
Engage in and receive support for scholarly activities
