The Social Worker functions as the Suicide Prevention (SP) case manager, who is assigned to the Mental Health & Behavioral Science (MH&BS) service line of VA NJ Health Care System at the Lyons Campus. The SP case manager assists the VA NJ Suicide Prevention Coordinators to provide enhanced, intensive mental health follow-up care to veterans who are at high risk for suicide by tracking and monitoring their mental health treatment progress. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
