The Central Texas VA Health Care System is seeking a full time Supervisory Psychiatrist to manage several outpatient programs assigned with the Mental Health & Behavioral Medical Service. Duties as Supervising Psychiatrist include the following: Provides leadership guidance, administrative as well as clinical, supervision and/or consultation as appropriate to staff in assigned areas. Provides administrative oversight and clinical consultation to other interdisciplinary team members for whom the incumbent is not the designated first line rating authority. Provides clinical supervision to psychiatry residents, Fellows, medical students, and other trainees as appropriate. Ensures timely access to care of patients assigned to the team, in accordance with local and national policies. Monitors
