Practice Description M Health Fairview seeks casual Psychiatrists for our newly opened unit at Fairview Southdale Hospital. The Psychiatrist will be leading a team of interdisciplinary mental health providers in caring for acute mental health issues that come to the EmPATH unit (Emergency Psychiatric Assessment Treatment and Healing). The EmPATH unit is a unique, innovative unit that will use various methods to help those in crisis. Basic responsibilities will include determining best level of care for patients, providing acute treatment for occurring crisis and assisting with discharge planning when needed.
