Pediatric Psychologist - Cancer Patient & Family Support, Clinical Faculty

As the largest academic medical center in the western United States, Cedars-Sinai is a world-renowned medical center, named to the Honor Roll for the 10^th consecutive year in U.S. News & World Report?s "Best Hospitals 2025-26" rankings.  We are seeking a Pediatric Psychologist who will focus on the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of children and adolescents who are dealing with cancer, as well as supporting their families, at Cedars-Sinai Cancer. 

The selected candidate will have programmatic, clinical, academic and research responsibilities in the program. The pediatric psychologist will collaborate with other faculty and staff within the oncology Patient and Family Support Program, the division of Pediatric Oncology and our oncology teams across Cedars-Sinai Cancer and the Cedars-Sinai Health System. The selected candidate will also participate in educational, research, community outreach and engagement activities that are in alignment with departmental/divisional and Cedars-Sinai Cancer priorities. 

Staffed by knowledgeable and specialized clinicians and research personnel, the Patient and Family Support Program and Pediatric Oncology Program are committed to best-in-class patient care, innovative research, and ongoing education in oncology patient support. Our teams are comprised of a dedicated group of psychiatry, palliative care, physical medicine and rehab, psychology, spiritual care, dietary and social work professionals working together to advance patient care, outcomes and quality of life through patient centered care and innovative research.

Community Outreach and Engagement 

Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) at Cedars-Sinai Cancer is dedicated to reducing the cancer burden in our catchment area (Los Angeles County) by engaging communities and increasing cancer prevention, screening and clinical trial accruals, developing impactful research, and advancing policy initiatives. 

Academic Research

Along with caring for patients, Cedars-Sinai is a hub for biomedical research and a top 10 academic medical center for NIH funding with over $150M in extramural research grant funding. As the largest academic medical center in the western United States, Cedars-Sinai is also training the next generation of physicians, researchers, and allied health professionals. Physicians and scientists at Cedars-Sinai are actively engaged in translational research to bring medical advancements directly from the laboratory to the bedside. 

 Our compensation philosophy
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.  The base pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
Pay Range: $131,005 - $187,513.

Qualifications

 Expertise in pediatric psychology research as evidenced by a publication and/or funding record demonstrating expertise in any area of pediatric psychology research

A track record of, and dedication to, excellence in patient care

A demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues, organizations and leaders

Board eligibility/certification in Clinical Child/Adolescent or Pediatric Psychology

Eligibility for an unrestricted California medical license as Psychologist
